Speicherstadt & HafenCity tour

From canal watchers and barge pushers, the scent of tea, cocoa, tobacco and spices that once wafted through the canals, the history of the Speicherstadt as a UNESCO World Heritage Site to the most interesting facts about the Elbphilharmonie - that's what awaits you on this exciting tour.

A breath of the big wide world wafts into Hamburg through the harbor and Speicherstadt (Warehouse District). In a small group, you'll hear fascinating stories hidden behind the old brick walls of the historic Speicherstadt. HafenCity blends modernly into this ensemble of old warehouses. Much has already been completed, and more is still in the works. We'll tell you about that, too. You're guaranteed not to get bored!
Glass facade, red brick, maritime nostalgia. The tour ends right at the Elbphilharmonie, which you already know a lot about. Within twelve months, the spectacular concert hall on the Elbe River became one of Europe's most popular attractions. If you haven't had the chance yet, you can change that now and visit the Plaza afterward.

And after the tour?

Elbphilharmonie

an experience in itself

Our tour ends directly at the Inselpark. The 85-hectare site is a legacy of the 2013 International Garden Show and an experience in itself. Several innovative buildings from the IBA, which also took place in Wilhelmsburg, are also located on the grounds, offering a glimpse into the future of construction.

You've now gotten to know the lively and colorful Willitown. If the weather's nice, we recommend a bike tour. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can leave the city behind. You can rent your bike at the Wilhelmsburg bike rental or at the StadtRad station. Must-sees: Minitopia, Finkenriek Elbe beach, Moorwerder with the Heuckenlock nature reserve—one of the last tidal floodplain forests in Europe, Bunthäuser Spitze with its lighthouse, Johanna windmill, and the children's farm.
